The purpose of this fund is to support First Nations students who are registered in a Health and Human Services program.聽The Vandekerkhove Family Foundation has been extremely generous to Indigenous students at Camosun and to education overall. This family foundation is supporting the education of future health and human services care providers for our communities.
Criteria
Criteria
You must:
- be currently registered as a student at Camosun
- have Indigenous (First Nations, M茅tis, Inuit, or Native American) ancestry
- have a聽GPA聽of 2.5 or equivalent聽
- a self-written letter outlining your goals and dreams about working with Indigenous people in a health or human services related field
- a letter of reference from a teacher or community member talking about your dedication to education and community wellness
- complete the application form
- provide a self-written letter outlining your goals and dreams about working with Indigenous people in a health or human services related field
- proof of grades prior to entering your program (if you are in your first semester of studies at Camosun). You will be asked to attend an awards ceremony.
- financial need will be considered
Award recipients will be selected based on their dedication to education and community wellbeing, understood to include health promotion & care or business development.聽You will be asked to attend an awards ceremony.聽

Please note: If the deadline occurs on a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm on the Monday.
