Camosun College鈥檚 campuses are OPEN, Wednesday, Feb. 5

Wednesday, Feb. 5, 6:30 a.m. 鈥 Camosun鈥檚 campuses are OPEN today. Classes and services are scheduled to run as planned.

Grounds crew have been working at Lansdowne and Interurban to spread salt and sand on parking lots, roadways and main walkways as conditions are icy. Please allow extra time when commuting, dress warmly and stay on cleared paths.

Nugwa鈥檃m Ixcemga. Gayut色an lax聽Gwayasdams. My Kwa岣皐ala-given name was given to me through my Coon family. My English name is Ruth Lyall. My ancestry is 碍飞颈岣祑补瘫蝉耻迟虚颈苍耻虫瘫飞 on my mother鈥檚 side and English on my father鈥檚 side. I have been a visitor in WS脕NE膯 and Lekwungen territories almost all of my life and I am very grateful to these lands, waters and people for this gracious opportunity.

I am honoured to be a member of the Ey膿蕯 Sq葍鈥檒ewen, Centre for Indigenous Education & Community Connections team at Camosun College. I have worked as an Indigenous Advisor, Program Coordinator and Faculty member, and began facilitating TELTIN TTE聽WILNEW: Understanding Indigenous Peoples in the Spring of 2017. I now carry the role of Interim Indigenization Coordinator.
